Novels in Nature Introduction

Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog, where I review novels in nature! I'm going to post every Friday. Today, I'm by the beach, and we're doing a mini-review of Dork Diaries Book 9!

So, in case you haven't read the series before, here's a little skim over the basic plot of each of the books. Nikki Maxwell is the owner of the diary. A self-proclaimed dork, she has a few close friends. Her BFFs are Chloe Garcia and Zoeysha Franklin, while Brandon Roberts is Nikki's crush. MacKenzie Hollister is Nikki's main rival, a lip-gloss addicted drama queen whose best friend is Jessica Simpson. These are the main characters in the book.

So, in Dork Diaries Book 9, MacKenzie Hollister actually STEALS Nikki Maxwell's diary! I honestly love that part. Isn't it nice to be able to get in the head of the main antagonist? Anyway, MacKenzie writes in Nikki's diary until, one day, MacKenzie drops the diary! Nikki picks it up, but MacKenzie leaves a trail of issues behind her. First, she got into Nikki's advice column and sent out mean things to other students. And she spread rumors about Nikki before MacKenzie ended up transferring to a different school, North Hampton Hills. Nikki is left at Westchester Country Day cleaning up the mess MacKenzie left behind.

This is honestly my favourite book of the series. Don't judge me, but MacKenzie's My favorite character! She's the most gutsy fictional character I can think of. I rate this book a 10/10. The only thing that could be changed is... NOTHING! It's absolutely perfect. I love how MacKenzie just leaves chaos wherever she goes. Nikki Maxwell needs to stand up for herself! I would love it if there was a book where Nikki turned into a vain diva!
